Piggies on Stogi Beach

Thanks to hostelworld for reminding me where I was this time last year. Looking for the beach and finding wild boar piglets in Poland.
For a couple more pictures of this lovely beach: We All Fall Down.

List of Essentials

Some photos of a little book i made for my friend Natalie. I've made a few books before but this was the first time i made an accordion book.
The actual contents of the book consisted of Jack Kerouac's Belief & Technique for Modern Prose: List of Essentials.
Technically it's advice on writing but i still find it a great List of Essentials.
(had a serious case of the Fat Fingers on the first page but i decided to keep the mistakes in and soldier on)

CATCH UP, CATS AND KITTENS

I've been a bit slack recently with updating this blog, but not because I haven't been photographically busy. Lots to show you.
In the meantime here's a song you should listen to at full volume as a reminder to Do More Things and Don't Get Left Behind.
p.s. spot the kitten in this accidental double exposure.

Brainwash

This was my submission for the cover of a new film-based zine by a collective of creatives called Brainwash. The theme of the first issue is based on the David Cronemberg 80s sci-fi/horror flick called Videodrome (featuring a very sultry Debbie Harry). The brief was to create a cover under the title: 'DEATH TO VIDEODROME. LONG LIVE THE NEW FLESH' as uttered by the film's lead character Max Renn who finds his flesh morphing and warping into some human/technology hybrid.
My idea was to recreate the scene where Max Renn commits suicide using his morphed hand/gun, but replacing his gun with a super8 camera.I wanted to keep it quite lo-fi and a bit cheesey, as a tribute to 80s gore and also just to keep it simple. Should have used more fake flesh though!

Drive ii

Drive

What is it about driving in cars and Joy Division songs?
On this particular adventure we set out to see the rare phenomenon of snow in the Cyprus mountains, and found what I'm guessing was an abandoned old ski-lodge. We tried to make a snowman but we gave up cos our hands were too cold.
