Fake Tan Salon Call Out

the Fake Tan Salon is back! And this time we’re bringing sunshine to the Big Smoke.

The sun might be out this week and we should make the most of it but don’t be fooled - blue skies quickly turn to grey in this country. So the Fake Tan Salon is returning to battle the impending April Showers with a photographic dose of Vitamin D and miles of second-hand sunshine to a gallery in London!

We are now calling out for submissions!

Send us your summer/sunshine/beach/blue sky & generally uplifting vitamin D infused photographs!

We need physical copies but keep it cheap - 6x4 prints only cost a few pennies or just use your own printer.

Send submissions to:
THE FAKE TAN SALON
23 Carter House
Brune Street
E1 7NN
London

Don’t forget to put your name on the back so we can credit you.

Deadline: 9.4.13

Exhibition details TBA but will include tropical photobooth, grass skirts, cocktail umbrellas & more!

Follow submissions and progress on tumblr: http://faketansalon.tumblr.com/
Plus: You can now find the Fake Tan Salon on facebook.

Oh Trouble

It's been a busy few months and this blog is gathering dust, but it's a good sign of keeping on my toes.

I've been working on a couple of different things, and on a particularly interesting project with On The Record. This group of lovely folk are getting people to tell their stories and uncovering history through interviews and lived experiences. I've been taking portraits for their work about Speakers' Corner in Hyde Park, meeting hecklers, orators, jokers and troublemakers.

Some of my portraits will be included in the exhibition at the Bishopsgate Institute, opening December 7th.

Click here for a portrait I took and the story of one of the lovely troublemakers I met, Ruth Eastwood.
